The winner of the contest will win a three-day, two-night trip for himself/herself and his/hers classmates; to the opening ceremony festivities of The harry potter world orlando at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. The Today Show’s “The Wizarding World of Harry PotterTM at Universal Orlando Resort” Contest (the “Contest”) begins on February 3, 2010, at 8:30 AM ET and ends on March 19, 2010, at 5:00 PM ET (“Contest Entry Period”). All times in the competition refer to Eastern Time. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

Who will choose the winners?

A panel of qualified judges which would be elected by Sponsors comprised of employees of TODAY (“Judges”) will review the eligible entries received during the Contest Entry Period based on the following judging criteria (the “Judging Criteria”):
Originality and Creativity (30%), Responsiveness to Question (30%), Camera Readiness (20%), and Clarity of Communication (20%).

All valid Entries will be discussed on a continuing and rolling basis as they are submitted. Judging will be based on the Videos as well as any telephone or personal interviews or other for more information that TODAY may elect to conduct with some or all contestants.

In the event of a tie, the tied Entries will be judged by an additional tie-breaking judge using the Judging Criteria to choose which of the tied contestants will advance to the voting stage (as described below). Decision makers of the TODAY show will contact the contestants whose Entries received the four (4) highest scores from the Judges (each a “Finalist”), using the phone number and/or email address submitted with the Entry. All potential Finalists will be selected subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules.

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

The flagship ride of the harry potter theme park. Built in the 150 foot high Hogwarts Castle the ride will feature the revolutionary KUKA Arm technology. The rider will be tossed and turned in all possible directions along with the visual track of Harry Potter Adventures.

The name was given by the books creator and inventor J.K Rowling. It promises to be a far better version of the “Sum of all thrills” attraction in Epcot Center Orlando, Florida.

Flight of the Hippogriff.

This ride described as a family-orientated ride that replicates a Hippogriff - the half-horse, half-eagle beast from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - training lessons over Hogwarts castle.

Dragon Challenge.

Is a twin speed Roller Coaster that will feature elements from the fourth book “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, where Harry Potter had to fight the Dragon in order to advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Hogwarts Castle.

Standing 150 feet tall, the castle will appear to tower some 600 feet up due to architectural tricks the parks creators have put in place. The castle will have classrooms, the iconic “Secret Room”, Dumbledor’s office along with the portraits of past headmaster, Gryffindor quarters, and many many more landmarks from the series.

Hogsmeade village.
